It is the craziest time in history

The history we are living in is crazy. We have had nothing like it. The Spanish flu is the only thing I found that comes somewhat close. I am pretty sure it wasn't an election year. I don't think we had riots and protests and a president that dropped the ball on the fact of the spread of the disease. More worried about blame than a vaccine or cure.

They somewhat wrote the scenario about in Tom Clancy's The Sum of all Fears. The biggest difference was disease and the political landscape. Anyhow, I have not found the history of our country in the same situation at the same time. Yes, at different times. The Spanish flu in 1920, and the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s.

Here we are more than a year after Covid-19 showed up on our shores and we still do not have a handle on it. Our government was so hellbent on Donald Trump and Impeaching him, they wouldn't do anything but push that agenda. What we needed were actual leaders, not schoolyard kids vying for the position of schoolyard tough guy.

I have never seen a political case split the country like Trump and Pelosi did. I had family members wanting to get me into political discussions and I refused because I saw anger at just the mention of one of those two names. It was just smart not to talk about it.

They did not serve the American public as we should have been, in my humble opinion. So much for our great country. I am still proud to be American, but we definitely need to bring it back together.

Since the beginning of it in China, we want to blame the Chinese for it. The problem is people want to put blame on all Asians and that is wrong. Maybe someone in their government. Not all Asians? That is just ridiculous. Especially since there are several Asian countries.

So, I see this as one of the strangest times in history. I mean, they put wars on hold because of the virus. If that had happened before, I could not have found it.

In conclusion, I stand by my opinions and invite you to comment. Sincerely James Sims.
